Seamless copper gutters are typlically used for historic and traditional sytle homes. The copper half round seamless gutter is extruded on site, made to measure so it fits the roof edge to roof edge.
We can achieve a similar, yet more cost effective look, with extruded aluminum half round gutter and aluminum brackets.
Half round bracket are used to hold the gutter in place. Brackets are different depending on what materials are used aluminum/copper. We use:
- standard: 6" half round seamless copper or aluminum gutter
- standard: outlet and downspout size 4"
- smooth 4" finish
- corrugated 4" finish
Placement of downspout and outlets is critical to the gutter system performance. Many houses have their gutter downspouts draining on to their driveway or a walkway instead of into a flower bed or stone bed. This can cause problems in the winter when ice forms and visitors to your home could easily slip and fall injuring themselves. Poor downspout placement that does not direct water away from the natural grade of your home or building can also result in damage to your foundation or a mold problem as well as mildew and rot.
